OMG, I had to retrieve my head from the floor, I was nodding in agreement so much it fell off! I was a member of a yahoo group that I adored, but then the proverbial hit the fan (in much the same way as the article describes) and, despite the best efforts of some, things just couldn't be fixed.
There is something strangely soothing in reading that article and knowing the same drama (different plot, different characters) is playing out all over the Internet. I always felt that somehow I should have been able to head the trouble off at the pass, or at least stick the bits back together afterwards but reading this I think the train wreck was always going to happen at some point I just didn't know it back then.
Still, it was a fabulous, wind in your hair, laugh till you cry, jump for joy, pass the tissues, hugs all round, kind of a ride, just hurt like hell when we crashed!
