Hey ho, hey ho, its off to China we go!

Snowed under!

We've been a bit snowed under or perhaps snowed in!  I was going to say that things haven't been going quite to plan but that would imply that there had actually been a plan in the first place.  It would be true to say that the leaking ceiling, dentist/doctor visits (nothing serious thankfully), hole in the outside wall and builders double the estimate bill, broken wall plaster, heavy snowfall, lost address "book" (read handful of tatty bits of paper stapled together) were definitely not what I would have planned had I had a plan.

At this point I have nothing wrapped and most cards are waiting to be mailed, by cunning plan* our cards are "Holiday" and so I will vehemently deny that they are late since the ones that haven't already gone out are now "New Year" cards and will be perfectly on time (she said smugly).  Of course if it had been a really cunning plan I'd have had the good sense to order the blasted things back in July!  If you are expecting a card from us and I haven't emailed you to ask your address (due to lost address "book") please email because it probably means I've lost your email address too! 

* Ah ha! So I did have a plan after all!

Someone's had a little hair cut!

Totally shocked and over joyed to get updates today!!!  I wasn't expecting to see anything for another week and knew maybe not even then.  Baby girl is ADORABLE, soooooo, soooooo sweet, the video just makes you want to scoop her up.

Oh and I forgot to say that the we heard that Ching-Lin/Amy Sparkles Rose has been placed with Beau's foster mama!!!!  We were thrilled to know that and it helps me picture where she is and who is holding her.  Beau's foster mother did a great job with him, he came to us a happy confident baby who knew all about being loved and cared for so we know Ching-Lin is in good and loving hands.

So here are the pics and another yippee because she is wearing one of the outfits we sent, its ridiculous how happy that makes me but I think its another connection thing.

Well that was an exhausting 24 hours!

 We heard last night that there was a "situation" with the Taiwan program that we are with.  I had only just started to hear rumors on the grapevine when we got the email so it was all a bit of a surprise and not the sort you want to get!  Now I don't want to go putting a jinx on us but from what I have been able to understand I don't "think" this will cause any issues with bringing home Ching-Lin, its always a bit nerve wracking when this kind of thing happens but with a bit of luck I think its going to be okay.

Have to give major props to our agency who really went all out to communicate what they do and don't know with all their families.  Its a funny situation because we didn't choose our agency, heck we didn't even apply to them but I think we have been lucky to have them working with us.  There were a few tears from me at the start (okay some great big not attractive blubbering tears) but at this point I do have a lot of faith in them and our Case Worker and they did a great job today.

My heart goes out to the families who have been waiting so patiently and then got this curve ball, its just so stressful, especially if this is your first child that you are waiting for.  My gut feeling is that this is just a hiccup along the way and that the program will continue but some weird blogger person's gut feelings aren't a lot of comfort when you just want to know for sure its going to be okay :(  Hang in there guys!
